James has a long history of leadership in the Bay Area in both ministry and non-profits. He is passionate about seeing healthy Gospel-Centered churches planted in the Bay Area. James graduated from Gateway Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters in Theology. Currently he is pursuing a doctoral degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2018, James and his wife, Desiree’, returned to the Bay Area to plant Realm Church; a multi-ethnic church in Oakland comprised of 15 different nationalities. In addition to planting Realm, James has been involved in Send Network leadership for past few years thru initiatives like leading GenSend in SF Bay Area. James is originally from St. Louis and has been married to his high school sweetheart Desireé for 19 years. They share three beautiful children together.
